***MOST IMPORTANT TO NOTE:***
All members are obligated to post in the Stave of Life thread upon registering on the forum.
Even if it is just a post that says 'hi' and nothing else.
It only takes a moment of your time. If you don't do this within 3 days of joining, you will be automatically banned from the forum.
This is the method the staff here at WTMW will be implementing due to bots spamming the boards with adverts.
~ While we welcome discussing and debating issues, we will not tolerate insulting comments, personal attacks, slandering or intentionally argumentative posts (trolling). Please be nice to each other, and think about what you type before you hit the 'submit' button. In addition, no insulting people based on their taste. Some people aren't going to agree with you and vice versa.
~ Posting, emailing or private messaging with the intent to advertise or "spam" links is not permitted and will result in an instant ban.
~ Do not self-promote yourself all over the forum. There is a thread dedicated to those of you who would like to promote your personal websites for reviews or commentary. If your website does not class as personal, your post will be removed. If you join the forum with the sole intent to self-promote and not join discussions, you will be banned.
~ Reviving old topics (bumping) is not allowed — continually doing so will result in your forum account being banned.
~ "Double-posting" is a no-no. Please wait an appropriate amount of time before replying to your own topic. There are unwritten exceptions to this rule, however.
~ Discussion of illegal activities such as file sharing, software and media piracy and intellectual property violations are not welcome here. This includes the discussion and exchanging of "CD-Keys" and "cracks".
~ You are permitted to register a single account with the forum, attempting to create multiple accounts will result in a permanent ban of all said accounts, as well as a permanent IP ban.
~ All posts must be made in English or with an English translation included.
~ While there is no set rule for this, inappropriate or overly large signatures will be removed at the staff's discretion.
The staff reserve the right to edit or delete any posts or threads without notice, including the expulsion of unruly members.
~ Use readable formatting. These forums have a dark layout, so stick with light-coloured text. Don’t choose a colour that will make our eyes bleed either.
~ Images posted to the forums must be a maximum of 400 pixels wide.
~ Use proper text case. TYPING ALL IN CAPS IS RUDE. It's considered bad netiquette and is the equivalent of shouting. Please only use caps for emphasis. DoN't TyPe LiKe ThIs. It looks silly and gives people headaches.
~ Please keep swearing to a minimum. Everyone should feel comfortable posting here and there are usually less abrasive ways to express your excitement/anger.
~ Respect what the mods have to say. Their word is law. If you find you have a problem with a mod, please contact Vergil’s Queen to sort it out.
~ Do not cross post questions. Please refrain from posting the same question in several forums. There is normally one forum which is most suitable in which to post your question. If you're not sure where to post, ask a moderator first.
~ Do not post copyright-infringing material. Do not upload, attach, or otherwise post any copyrighted material which you are not free to redistribute (subject to the licensing terms of the specific item). If you have a question about having permission to post or attach a specific item, please ask a moderator.
~ Do not post "offensive" posts, links or images. Do not post anything which is offensive, hateful, racist, sexist, discriminatory, obscene, vulgar or in violation of local or international laws.
~ Remain respectful of other users, moderators and administrators at all times.
All posts should be professional and courteous. You have every right to disagree with your fellow community members and explain your perspective. However, you are not free to attack, degrade, insult, or otherwise belittle them or the quality of this community. It does not matter what title or power you hold in these forums, you are expected to obey this rule. Doing otherwise will get your account banned temporarily, or permanently if the situation becomes severe enough (this will be left to the discretion of the moderation team).
For example, phrases such as "shut up, idiot," are indicative of problematic posts and should be reported. Suggested alternatives include "I disagree with what you said for the following reasons..." Please remember to stay mature and thoughtful at all times.
